Plot Elements: Thank You, M’am by Langston Hughes

The setting of the story was about eleven o’clock at night in the city. The protagonist of the story is Roger. The antagonist of the story is Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones. The rising actions is when Roger snatched Mrs. Luella’s pocketbook (Character Vs Character) and when she kicked Roger in the butt. The climax of the story is when Mrs. Luella grabbed Roger into a full-nelson. Roger is also the dynamic character because he now wants to do the right thing instead of the wrong. Roger and Mrs. Luella heats up some supper and sits down and munch. The falling actions is when they were done, Mrs. Luella gave Roger ten dollars for him to get some blue suede shoes. The resolution of the story is when Roger left out the room saying thank you to Mrs. Luella before she shuts the door and never seen each other again.
